Lahore, 12 February 2024: Former Australian captain Michael Clarke is set to make his HBL PSL debut behind the mic as he joins a star-studded commentary panel. Clarke, 42, has been an active broadcaster since hanging up his boots as a player.
The roster of foreign commentators includes the dynamic Ian Bishop, known for his insightful and engaging commentary, along with Danny Morrison, Simon Dole, Pumi Mbangwa, Mark Butcher, Dominic Cork, and Mike Heisman.
The Bishops will return to the HBL PSL for the second time after calling off the 2017 season. Morrison is a household name among local fans and a regular voice in the tournament while Dole has toured Pakistan not only for the HBL PSL but also for various international series.
Mbangwa will return after calling the 2022 edition of the HBL PSL. Butcher, Cork, and Heisman are also names synonymous with the HBL PSL and will light up the tournament with their voices and sensational calls with mic in hand.
Pakistani commentators also form an interesting line-up with Rameez Raja, Waqar Younis, Bazid Khan, and Aamir Sohail along with Arooj Mumtaz, Sana Mir, and Marina Iqbal. Tariq Saeed and Ali Younis will dub the action in Urdu. Erin Holland and Zainab Abbas will be the presenters during HBL PSL 9.
HBL PSL production is all set to maintain its quality of broadcast this season as well. With two trophies, Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars are currently the most successful teams in PSL. They first won the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2016, followed by a second title in 2018.
